At Sweet & Savory Catering, we don’t follow the crowd—we create meals that tell a story, reflect our love for food, and push the boundaries of what’s expected. Inspired by our travels and the diverse flavors we’ve encountered, we’re passionate about innovation and embracing new culinary ideas. Our mission is simple: to provide unforgettable experiences that bring bold, custom flavors to every event. We’re here to shake up the Indianapolis catering scene by offering something fresh and exciting, challenging the “norms” while staying true to our love for great food.

“We don’t believe in the ‘uniform,’” says Melissa, co-owner and chef. “We aren’t your typical chefs. We just love food and want to share that love through innovative menus and culinary experiences that are just as enjoyable as they are memorable.”

Melissa Mudd

Owner, Co-Founder, Chef
Melissa Mudd is the co-founder of Sweet and Savory, a scratch kitchen that’s been a dream come true for her. With 20 years in the business, Melissa has built a reputation for creating delicious food with heart, while supporting local farms and small businesses. When she’s not in the kitchen, Melissa loves traveling, exploring new places, and diving into interior design—always looking for fresh inspiration. Above all, she’s a proud mom of two daughters, and her family is at the center of everything she does.

Shawn Mudd

Co-Founder
Shawn Mudd is the co-founder of Sweet and Savory, known for his innovative approach to both the culinary world and business. With a knack for creative problem-solving and a passion for pushing boundaries, Shawn plays a key role in shaping the direction of the company. Outside of the business, Shawn enjoys exploring new technologies, outdoor adventures, and spending time with his wife, Melissa, and their two daughters.

Shelby Wynne

Director of Operations, Owner
Shelby Mudd is the Director of Operations and co-owner of Sweet and Savory, where she plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the business while staying true to the company’s values of quality and community. Growing up with the business, Shelby brings both passion and innovation to her work, helping the family’s vision thrive. Outside of the kitchen, she’s a dedicated registered nurse with a heart for helping others. When she’s not caring for patients or managing operations, Shelby loves spending time with her husband, Noah, and their playful fur baby, Beau.

Abigail Wuethrich

Event Specialist
Abigail has worked in the events industry since 2017, coordinating everything from sporting expos to weddings! After feeling hungry for something fresh, she landed at Sweet and Savory. Here, she works behind the scenes, ensuring an efficient and effective planning process for her clients. She enjoys creating a themed menu! When not at S&S, she loves to practice her culinary skills at home, and snuggle up with a good book and her family.

Jade Stickler

Event Specialist
Jade Stickler has been a part of the Sweet and Savory team since 2022. Hospitality has been a special passion of hers since 2017. She thrives in helping wedding couples create memories, one plate at a time. Her attention to detail helps to make some of Sweet & Savory’s largest events go off without a hitch! Outside of catering, Jade enjoys designing thoughtful small events for friends and family, giving new creative life to vintage pieces and spending time in the sun with her fiance and pup.

Madison Gueber

Event Specialist
Madison Gueber is the Event Specialist at Sweet and Savory, where she brings her passion for event planning to life by creating memorable experiences from start to finish. She loves the process of bringing an event’s vision to reality, ensuring every detail is perfectly executed. Outside of work, Madison enjoys spending time in nature, exploring the world, and finding inspiration in new places. Whether hiking a trail or planning a wedding, Madison’s love for organizing and creating unforgettable moments shines through in everything she does.

Stephanie Meza-Ayala

Staffing Coordinator
Stephanie Meza-Ayala is the Staffing Coordinator at Sweet and Savory, known for her unwavering reliability and dedication to her work. Whether leading the team or supporting behind the scenes, Stephanie ensures that operations run smoothly and clients receive exceptional service. A true team player, she excels at fostering a positive, collaborative environment and is always available to support her colleagues and clients. Stephanie’s commitment to quality and client satisfaction makes her an essential member of the Sweet and Savory team.

Trina Stupec

Event Specialist
Trina Stupec brings over 20 years of experience in the event industry, specializing in events ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale conferences. She excels in customer service, multitasking, and ensuring seamless execution, while maintaining strong client relationships and precise event records. When she’s not working, Trina enjoys spending time with her kids.

Alena Gezovich

Office Administrator
Alena has a strong passion for events, from weddings to sporting gatherings. She graduated from the University of Indiana with a degree in Business and Finance, which gives her a practical approach to managing the logistics of every event. Alena combines her love for events with her expertise to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Georgia Mudd

Accounts Manager
Georgia Mudd is the Accounts Manager at Sweet and Savory, where she meticulously manages the financial side of the business. Her attention to detail and thoughtful approach ensure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Outside of work, Georgia enjoys traveling, discovering new places, and spending time with friends. She also has a passion for dancing and finds peace in it whenever she can. Georgia brings a calm, steady presence to the team, with a sharp focus on getting things done right.

Nia Parker-Robinson

Content Manager
Nia Parker-Robinson is a passionate content creator at Sweet and Savory Catering, where she blends her love for creativity with her enthusiasm for weddings. With an eye for detail and a knack for storytelling, Nia crafts engaging content that captures the essence of each unique event. Outside of work, she always loves to travel and is a passionate foodie, constantly seeking new culinary experiences
